My first training in the arts came early: In our garden my mother taught me to observe shapes and forms in nature. Even now I am fascinated by patterns, textures and surface treatments. Forever intrigued at the complexity around me. After my first training came studies at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in the textile design department. Many years later classes at the Fine Arts Department of the University of Calgary in printmaking and drawing I completed by earlier education. I am still learning.
